fse10
Hi all, thinking of getting a set of these SSI ear buds as £40 seems a great price for electronic ear plugs.Anyone on here use them as have read some bad reviews on American forums so just wanted to know if anyone has used them over here yet & has any feed back? 955i
I use Sonic II's and they are fine for a tenner! I know they don't suit everyone due to fit, but why spend more if you don't need to?
Steveco36
I had some and IMHO they are rubbish, they didn't fit very well even with the three size ear buds they are supplied with, very fiddly knobs which are nigh on impossible to alter without a screwdriver and the actual cutoff when using your gun was pretty dismal, it took a little off the edge but that was it! Sonic 2's or even standard foam ear buds are much better! First time out with them about 15 clays I switched back to my cans, even tried them out decoying where it's not so constant shooting ( well in my case it ain't!) but still just couldn't get on with them so again switched over to the trusty sonics which I prefer out in the field ( and clays at times) might just be me but I wouldn't recommend them at all! Must admit they can be uncomfortable, but found a little solution to this, my Mrs had a set of headphones with different ear pieces so had this idea of fitting the spare ones to my Sonics, they litterally pull over the Sonics with a nice tight fit, it makes a world of difference in comfort and still easy to clean! worth buying some cheap headphones just to get the sillicone cups! ChrisAsh
Went to my local gun shop and asked about them. the owner stated they have just been sold to the army in the thousands, so would seem conflicting reports as the army do very tight testing before purchase Some due in next week so I may well give them a go for £
