highseas
Highsea's. Don't want to seem like a boring auld sod but mibee u shouldnae be putting post's up like that, in the pr type climate we live in now. I know it is a joke or throw away comment but sort off thng the bunny hugin numpties would love to pick up on if u know wot i mean. You really need to PM me if you are going to use a trap it will have to be registered with your local wildlife liason policeman and a tag attached and do not use a gun until you have correctlly Identified the culprit as one available on the general licence (Scotland) 2013. Highseas I think you may have used a Flag word to bring this post some unwanted attention. yeh i agree but whats life without a bit of excitement! and besides ime sick to death of tiptoeing about people with no sence of humor
vulpicide
Alright highseas I'll spell it out as of 1st April this year in Scotland The RSPB /SSPCA have their "Ramblers" out all over south Lanarkshire and other areas looking for Untagged snares in just the type of area our OP is in so suggesting using ilegal poison baits falls way short of humour. I have been involved in defending false raptor poisoning cases in the past and theres F all funny about it when they come in and take your computer, phones, dogs, books etc.I am trying to give the guy advice that may save his cert so if you cant help don't hinder. scotslad
Highseas i also failed to see the funny side also, and i do like a good joke. Vulpicide is right there is a very specific area where i have no doubt 'ramblers' will be out in force looking for things like that, they would love to catch anyone doing someting they shouldn't as it looks good in their wildlife crime figures, and is more ammo for them. Be surprised the places they turn up and the type off shoots they smetimes target, not always big commercial boys As for the OP, i'd pm vulpicde above or try to find a local keeper to give u a bit off advice to get u started, possibly even get a decoy bird; it's not that hard, also the rules and regs may seem complicated but there not really that bad once u get into them. Trapping will prob be the only way, be to clever to get many/any with shot gun and even with a rifle they sooon get wise to ur range and sit just outside it. I'd also check the basc (althou there corvid trapping code is under review the now, was cecking myself last week) or sga websites, i ended up phoneing basc scotland to double check rules, well worth it if ur a member
