Dekers
You can put as many guns into your cabinet as you can force in. Gun cabinets are listed with a capacity of guns as a guide by the manufacturers, that isn't a maximum legal permissible figure. Top and tail them gets in more as well. Get as big a Cabinet as you can to start with just the same, the more you ram them in the more chance you have of damaging something! kimh
I hope not, I'm looking to put them muzzle down in between others across to get more in, just being care full putting them in and out is key I think but will be interesting to see what others say
HDAV
does anyone know if it matters if u have more guns in your cabinet than what its suppost to take? say like 6 guns in a 4 gun cabinet thanks It is your responsibility to keep them secure, forces may raise an eyebrow and some will insist on additional security (alarm etc) over a certain number (depends on force)
Lord Geordie
You MAY get a buzz from the FLD asking a few Q's I was storing 13 in a 5 gun cabinet. They came round to check, even though they were all in the one cabinet, they did advise me to get another
Will Poon
If you haven't got enough room in your cabinet is it ok to break the gun up and store them around the house

Will Poon
No, really think about it when I'm on my hols in this country I bring some guns with me and I break them up in the place I stay, my FEO is fine about that, so is there any difference in your own home I'm sure we'll get some smart answer Edited April 8, 2013 by Willpoon

You are responsible for gun security, whilst you are at your normal place of residence you can make appropriate and safe storage arrangements, to a level that keeps your region happy. If you take the guns away/go on holiday with them, whatever, you are meant to take all reasonable precautions, that does not mean taking a cabinet with you and bolting it to the Hotel Wall, or your friends house!
