Ferret Master
Start looking for a 20 bore. FM
wickedandlazee
He's 12 so either a 20 bore or 12 bore semi auto since they have less recoil and i don't want him to start off badly as it may put him off in the long run
edd
keep him at it , and get him a 20, if he becomes a good shot with a 20 he will be good with a 12 welll done!
pin
Nothing wrong with the hide there mate, looks good, always a good idea to cover the back / part of the top in so they can't see in if they come over the top. Not a lot about to be had at the moment, that's 100% more pigeons than I have shot this month Good one getting the lad involved

kirky640
why is the hide so tall how could you shoot over the top of it??? or is it just the way it looks in the pic??? as i always look threw the hide and shoot over the top off it it looks as if yours is is 10 feet tall or is it a net at the back of a net and we cant see the separation between them ? well done on the pigeon none about here at all at the mo cheers kirky
wickedandlazee
The hide wasna that tall lol - i am 6 foot and the hide was about 5 foot high so i could shoot over the top once i stood up and mounted the gun. The hide was a net in front of a small tree still with a fair bit of growth on it at the base so when i looked u cudna see through it so i didn't bother with any net for the back drop. True about pigeons though - not many around on my land anyway seem to see loads everywhere else **** Hopefully once they've had a few harsh winter days it may help. I checked the crop of the one i shot and there was nothing there whatsoever. Might nip down again tomorrow if i don't feel like working
