Tim Kelly
I reckon you'd love and hate the Jeep, depending on whether it's running or broken, at the petrol station or on the road, in equal measures. A great car you can really fall for, but can be a heartbreaker. The nissan would be just a car. Sensible, but not very loveable.

Grundog
Thanks wife loves the Cherokee I'm not really fussed but out the two the Cherokee looks better but it's a 2.7 sport n the xtrail is a 2.2sport so economy the xtrail wins but the wife don't like ha ha

A joy to drive on road with all the comforts . Off road is also good it has good ground clearance . Never have been stuck off road yet . MMMM maybe should not have said that EEK !! . A really nice strong motor that pulls like a train when need be . Nice merc diesel engine sounds nice . I can not fault mine .A lot of bang for your bucks . four-wheel-drive
The real problem with buying American stuff is it is made for the US market where parts and fuel are cheap I wanted a fuel pump module for my x reg 4ltr Cherokee and it did my head it I could buy one from the US for about £60 but by the time it got here with post and tax etc it was something like £200 and the breakers was asking from £60 to £90 for a second hand one that could well have been over 10 years old that was the nail in the coffin for me I sold it on having said that I still miss it.
