Jonnyni
Here here Rob G Ya didn't offend anyone im sure, everyone knew what ya meant Citydwellers are more than welcome in the country as long as they have a bit of sense when there. I think 6 generations more than qualifies you as 'a local'
Vermin Dropper
I agree whole heartedly. I have to pleed guilty to being a townie, but I love the country and it's way of life, I don't see the point of moving out to the sticks if you don't accept the life and everything that goes with it. A.R.P.
V.D. I do not think you are a townie. Having read a lot of your posts i think you are a country person who happens to live in a town for economic or other reasons.Just because a person lives in the country does not make him a country person.(It definitly helps though ) A lot of people on this site live in a town but proberly appreciates the countryside a lot more than a person from a town who moves to the countryside. I live in a town but would love to move out .Dream on Dream on. :yp: A.R.P.

Vermin Dropper
ARP, It must be my late father's influence, he was bought up in the country, from Ireland originally ( hence the surname Kelly) RobO, You should keep an eye out, you might be able to pick up a cheap property there

Get all the going off on the farm where i work lol. I was drying the wheat a couple of years ago . I left the dryer and was walking to the snap cabin for a quick slurp ! I hear this fella shout " Hey you i say hey you . " I turned round and there is this fella coming walking up towards me . He reaches me and says " I am trying to sit in my garden and all i can hear is that bloody thing " pointing to the dryer . , he says " Do you know its bank holiday monday and that dryer is spoiling my day off ??" I just stood there and looked at him .. He started to go a bit red in the face .. just as he was about to say something again . I piped up " YEr what mate can't here ya that ****in dryer is loud .. Yer what mate He said his bit again about bank holidays , noise and sitting in his garden etc. I laughed told him he lived in the countryside then told him he was trespassing and if he did'nt F-off i'd set the dog on him (lol the dog then was a lakelandcross ) He just turned heel and walked off. I made a huge mistake ..2 days later enviromental health turned up with noise meters etc... all the best yis yp
red_stag88
:yp: Oh B*gger What happened? Did you hear of the chap who was complained about because of the smell of his muck spreader, the council wrote him a letter fineing him. He filled his spreader, drove to the council buildings, and just opened up (this was a hot day so all the windows were open). Would have been good to see!
