Blackpowder
Is it true this fish was killed due to it having swalllowed a large treble armed lure? Seems early run fish in Tweed are getting larger by the year, once 6 -9lb was the norm but appears to be no longer the case. Of course we also have more information thanks to the web sited which report catches. billytheghillie
yes blackpowder, it was caught on a flyin c, and had apparently swallowed the lure. if you google "tweedbeats.com" you will see a interesting story about its capture written by Mr. Andrew Hume ( owner of the Lees beat) who was the past headman on the tweed commissioners.
