Thunderbird
If I eject a round with a fairly sharp pull of the bolt then no worries, but a slower more gentle extraction more often than not sees the case sticking in the breech and needing picking out. I've given the extractor claws a clean, but not sure what else I can do? The rifle is about 5 years old and has had a fair few through it by the looks of it. My (much older) 22 pings out the case every time without fail.
swiss.tony
id probably just clean the chamber with a brush see if that helps you can get new extractor claws cheap enough 3 min fix other than that nothing much else can go wrong with them

There is a good vid on youtube on how do this if you don't already know. Gordon

I'll try and pay a bit more attention to it at the weekend. Gord.
snipers eye
hi i fixed a problem like this on a 22,i took out the 2 extractor claws, just tap out the 2 pins, and stretched the 2 small springs to make them stronger, not too much, just enough to make them a little longer ,problem solved, never had that problem again, hope this helps
mick miller
I had this problem and as Tony suggests giving the chamber a brush sorted it. You'll need a bore guide though and go easy.
Underdog
Do you dry fire the gun? U.
Thunderbird
When it's being put away yes I do.
Underdog
Sometimes,,,not always, because a rim fire pin uses the breech face/edge of the chamber as an anvil to crush the cart' rim dry firing can cause the pin to strike the breech face and cause a burr into the chamber or very slight bulge. It will be next to nothing but the/a fired swollen case will be shaped around it and then be made slightly more difficult to extract! Hope thats clear! Best wishes. U. Thunderbird
It is, thanks. I've only had the rifle for about six months so the previous four years of its life is a mystery.
Hornet 6
You should be able to dry fire a CZ without any issues as the pin is not supposed to touch the breach face. Have a look at your extractors, the hooks should be sharp and not rounded off. Neil.
Underdog
My experience of what is suposed to not happen and what sometimes does happen has always led to confusion. How one bolt is set up in the factory depends on many variables and as many things in life,,,,assume nothing and check. A golden rule with reguard to rim-fires is DO NOT DRY FIRE one. Then nowt can go wrong! U.
