davew
Thinking of buying a Barretta a300 Outlander, 26" barrels in camo just to use in the pigeon hide. Has anyone used this gun or has any thoughts or advise.

samboy
Ive had mine about a month now, not cammo, Black stock & forend and have had no problems. The stock seemed a bit short so i had to put the supplied spacer on. It only comes with one choke so you might have to buy a couple more to suit your needs. I think its a good gun for not a fortune. I px'd my Hatson in for it. So yes im pleased with it.
VicW
I have had mine for 14 months and about 8000 cartridges. There have been no failures of any sort in that time. The new piston and gas system is easy to clean. Mine is the wood version and the wood responds well to oiling and looks a bit better for it although there is no figuring of course. Like all Beretta's they have just gone up in price, by £60 locally. Vic
davew
Thanks for the feedback guys, have any of you used the gamebore HV pigeon cartridges in their a300? Just wondered if it cycles these lighter load budget priced cartridges ok ?
A-Series
Hi there, I've had mine for almost a year now and it has been faultless. As for light loads, well last clay outing i tried out some 21g and it cycled them perfectly too, i was pleasantly surprised as i was not expecting them to work!. davew
That's great to know about the light loads, thanks.
OvEr_KiLL
why do people bother with light loads ie. 21g in a semi? theres not much recoil with a 28g
A-Series
Very true, i usually use 28g i was just curious to find the limits so borrowed a few light 21g from a mate, my other semi (escort) would not cycle the 21g with any reliability. I've also shot a few 50g bb through it and even those roman candles were softer than i expected!.
