Holland&Holland
I am thinking of going to Britain (again) in february for pigeons and muntjac & fallow deer. Normally i went during the summer. Is the end of february a good time for pigeonshooting. And if so, over what crop? Furthermore am i right that fallow deer are still in season in february? (hinds/calfs or bucks too??) Thanks for the reply.
ronttuk
99% of your question relys on the weather,if the weathers right you will have a great time pigeon shooting if it isnt you wont.

henry d
Roost shooting should be in full swing but decoying will be patchy. As for Fallow....Does until 28th Feb......Bucks until 30th April(England & Wales).
Holland&Holland
Thanks for the replies. So problably i put emphasis on the fallow and muntjac then and have the pigeons as an extra . Because of the large amount of female fallow deer i have to cull a couple (and i am very happy to do so). Do not know where the male ones went. Havn't seen much of them. My guess is that in february there are not much leaves yet on the trees so i can spot the fallow and especially the muntjac better. Had some trouble with spotting them pior this year.
