Actionpigeons
Goshawks chicks At long last! I have been trying to breed this pr of Goshawks for the last three years, this year they have produced two chicks and are feeding them well. Sorry, the pictures are not that good as I took them threw the spy hole

Kes
What are you going to do with them? - how much would a Goshawk cost if it were trained and used for hunting? The Goshawk is a truly magnificent bird and has such a hard eye - always wanted to hunt with one and have a bird to 'man' Best of luck with them. Unless you have lots of experience Kes forget about it & stick to shooting I had a Gos for years & they are not like guns that you take out just when you want to & to keep it fit & manned is an every day job . I had a female for some years so I do know a little bit about em ! , I had a wild female go right past where I am sitting at my pc & last week the first I have seen wild up here in Orkney . I take your point - I also appreciate the everyday effort training and experience to keep the weight correct restoring broken tail feathers etc. If I did take it up properly I would put the guns away. I also appreciate your obvious love of the birds and your wish to see them in the hands of those who appreciate them and treat them properly. All the best with the new ones and a few picks as they grow would be appreciated - if and when you can. Regards

Regards Best of luck if you take up a Goshawk Kes & on the subject of captive breed goshawks I have heard ( heard ! ) that they are now much more manageable than the goshawks that came from the usual sources years ago & the one I had was taken as an from the wild on the continent many years ago . The best gos rabbit flight I ever saw was one were the rabbit got away by the skin of its teeth not once but twice ! in the same flight ! . Good Luck .
