oscarsdad
Popped up to my little trout stream this evening for an hour...started off with a nymph as not much of a hatch about, but 3 casts in saw a swirl so stopped fishing for a few minutes to see what was on the surface- the odd mayfly about plus the smaller stuff so I went all out with a smallish mayfly...cast to where the splash was about 15yds upstream of me and this little fella grabbed it straight away...first fish on my new little 4wt rod so good fun I didn't have my net setup so had to do the "play the fish and set up the net at the same time" game. I caught a second similar size fish a few casts later as I made my way upstream but no more after that. Very pleasant way to spend an hour though... Dan73
Stunning - which River/Stream? I managed a couple off the top on Monday using a Muddler on my local syndicate trout lake; where we are also having a great Mayfly hatch this week. Pheasant Feeder
I got 3 small brownies last Tuesday on the dry fly, on the River Polloch in Ardnamurchan, water levels were very low but enjoyable none the less.
