It makes you think long and hard about how fragile life is, and we should never take it for granted that our wildlife will always e there.

The Hawaiian crow that looks like ours, a native Hawaiian bird was declared "extinct in the wild" in 2002 when the last two known wild individuals disappeared.

The reasons for the bird's extinction is not fully understood, but researchers speculate that an introduced disease, such as avian malaria, might have played a significant role in the species' decline....as much as I love to shoot crows I would miss the ugly black ****'*

The Chinese have a lot to answer for.

A bit left field, but as tigers breed like rabbits in captivity, how about rearing them for body parts to keep the Chinese in their fantasy medicine? After all, is that really any different from rearing sheep and cattle for food and other products?

The chinese are not going to stop paying for body part, thus perpetuating the poaching.

the Amur leopard is in an even worse situation than the tiger

Unless something miraculous happens, like China and the Chinese disappear of the face of the earth, then they are bound for extinction in the wild. Likewise other Tigers throughout their range, and Rhino in Africa

China is the problem (in so many ways).
