Shortening Harris style bipod

Has anyone shortened a Harris style bipod? I've the opportunity for one but its 12-22" which is a touch long for prone. I'd like it to be closer to 9-10".

Is it possible to shorten them? And would I go from the top or bottom of the legs?

Cheers

Why butcher a superb bit of kit? Can you not 'acquire' it and then do a swap with someone who has a 9 to 13" version but who would prefer the one that you now have.

You can get a 9 - 13" version from fleabay for £21.00 , don't butcher a perfectly good piece of kit sell it on and get the tool you desire !!!

I know I could just get a 9 - 13" one but if I can make this one into a 9 - 19/10 - 20" one then I cover more options. Besides I like messing around with things.

Good luck in your little project, post some pics up when you've sorted it if you can, you've got more patience than me lol
