hutt
I'm looking for my first gun and perhaps being more closely related to apes than most I need a long'un and tried a Parker Hale that seemed to fit well, I just wondered if it is a quality (given it's a £600 gun) piece and exactly what it is, my research on here make's me think it's a 702; which means it was made by winchester or franchi? Your thoughts gratefully received, or other budget models that are similar dimensions and thus likely to fit appreciated. Many thanks!

Olliesims
I have the same shotgun, here's the info gathered about it from a post a year ago http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/topic/224904-information-on-this-shotgun/?fromsearch=
Gordon R
That is a Parker Hale 800 series. Same gun as a Winchester Grand European - made in Japan. Very nice guns indeed. Franchi made the 700 series - good, but not in the same league. If there is no play in the action, then it looks a bargain.

The wood is quite plain compared to models I've found on google image search sadly. ~But, I've Just put a deposit on it and waiting for my ticket to arrive until I can collect it... excited! gemini52
Yes its a 800 series, made in the factory in Japan that produced the wincester 101,i had a trap version with 30 inch barrels, sadly i sold it to a dealer for 350 quid to go towards a new beretta,i had it on gunwatch for about three weeks, but to be fair all i got were stupid offers and dreamers,so in the end it went to dealer.the down side is that spares are not readily availabe, some 101 parts may fit,at 600 quid imho its top money
