hi guys, just been offered an s410 for £175,the barrel will need reblueing and the stock will need to be stripped and reoiled, the charge indicator is showing empty,i don't know how long its been this way and am thinking the seal may be perished,it has an ags scope on top,so would you take a punt on it or would it be too expensive if I needed all seals replaced aswell as the other work, although I can do the stock myself!..........DAZ

you can do the stock yourself, and the bluing can be done at home too, if you get a good kit. The Birchwood casey one is good (see link at the bottom)

If it were me, I'd take along some charging equipment and top it up to 190 to see how quickly it loses pressure, but even if it needs a complete seal overhaul, £175 could be a bit of a bargain, and a nice project to make the gun bespoke.you could even do the seal kit yourself if you felt up to it (see second link).

That way you could take a punt on it and keep costs down. I think I'd be tempted. If you spent £205 and it came out as good as any other second hand S410, at the very least you could easily sell it on for a lot more than you spent in total. Or keep it yourself and have a cracking PCP

Daz bite his hand off mate , excellent price and you would be stupid not to buy, honest opinion is get it pro blued and do the stock and seals yourself, you will end up with a top pcp for a sting mate,

all the best Evo

What a bargain mate :good: s410 is a very good rifle,AA bluing is not so good and i think its a beech stock as the walnut has end cap of rose wood.

Baglt, over on air arms owners club will have a spare mag.

Have a look at www.best-fittings.co.uk part no 03A1-ML03 air arms new style fill valve £14.50.

Also part no 03A1-KT01 air arms fill valve upgrade full kit £46.50.

It looks like the push on type filler without the locking tee key.

That looks like the male part and the female part should be on your filler pipe.

If you ring them they will send you a catalogue 0845 456 1185.

all seals around the charging adapter are good and its holding air, nothing needs doing to it except maybe a small service and the hammer spring cleaned, zeroed it today and cant believe how accurate it is,i put 7 pellets in a 5p piece size target, and even the mrs put 3 into it,well impressed.....now I just need to get out on the rats with it.................DAZ

I have an S410 and its the best air rifle Ive ever owned. Runs at 11.5ftlb and is very quiet. Absolute bargain you have there even without doing it up.

had mine chrono"d today and running at 11.68ft/lb,ive got it in a custom stock while I decide what to do with the original, which ive stripped and sanded, looks great in that stock too.......
