reggiegun
Just been quoted £250 from Daystate to alter my Air Ranger from 30 ft pound to 40 ft pound, I felt that a lot, what your thoughts?
tweedledee
Only harder on air and worse to silence.30 is more than enough.if you can't kill with that its time you sold up lol
chrisjpainter
£250 for 10ft/lb extra? Daystate only charge 200 for changing a 12ft/lb to FAC, so that does seem a bit of a price leap! given that it's already FAC, is there any mileage in taking it to a local gunsmith who would be able to do it? I don't think I'd pay that, I don't know that it'd give you much more performance either? As Tweedledee says, 30 is plenty. If you sold the gun, then put the money you got for it, plus the 250 saved on an upgrade, you could just by an Air Ranger 80, but I'd stick with 30 and save the 250 for whisky and dolly mixture... Salop Matt
As said above i would stick to 30ftlb ! Its what i have and it really slaps buggs hard as you will know. £250 probobly isnt that bad depending on whats needed, if its alot of new internals and 1.5-2hours work its not terrible (am sure i was told the local landy dealership spanner monkeys time was charged at £80per hour) So it will likely be serviced new parts and labour for that ! not to bad really and its done by the professionals and not someone having ago. I will only let Daystate do work on my Daystates. ATB Matt
zx10mike
not worth it ,won't be any more accurate .there is enough power left to drop quarry at long range you just need to know trajectory.in my humble opinion due to the ranger being mechanicle it would be smoother to shoot at 30.
