BAS Cadet Major What's it worth?

I have a BSA Cadet Major in .177 that I'm hoping to sell on this site. Can anyone give me an idea what I should ask? It cocks and fires as it should. Its had a new leather breech seal. The wood is really good with no cracks or dings. The metalwork has a nice patina of age.

I've put a few pictures on photobucket http://s1255.photobucket.com/user/niscot/library/BSA?sort=3&page=1

Any questions PM me.

Just looked at your photos , I bought one last year in very similar condition paid £85 posted , needs to be in a collectors section though to get fair interest ,try BBS

collectors section or BSA forum same sect.

Probably about 10 years ago I sold my Dads old one.

It had been in his garage about 12 years and forgotten about, pretty appalling condition, very rusty barrel/metalwork externally but cleaned up better than you would expect, but still poor condition.

No real idea about the bore condition or power (they never were very powerful), and no use to me so sold to a RFD, he gave me £70 then, as he wanted a Major for himself.

Very pleasing rifle to carry and use just the same. :good:
