aga man
can't say i have heard of one ever being replaced. i would imagine it would start to rattle if there was a problem. best thing you can do for the td5 is change the engine oil regular and use good oil. 114 thou is just nicely run in

Moors Man
I was told the chain needed changing at 200k miles by LR dealer. That probably explains why they don't get changed very often. With my 2001 Disco 2 that should leave me another 10 years to go.
Mike737
You could pop a Barrs Leaks in it and see if that cures it. Worked on my Disco 2 V8, and also on my brother's Chevy V8 truck (in USA). Mike.
