  1. My Dads got GG AT3 on the freelander 2, he rates them well.
  2. I had the 3.0tdi Touareg on a 14 plate. R line spec with the air suspension. Really comfy car!! on a run it would do about 36/38 mpg around town 28/30mpg good quality car. It did also have the upgraded comfort seats that you could adjust electrically even the side wings so you could get the seats to hug you if required. I test drove an X5 and felt like i was back in my lowered escort, the ride was so hard you felt every bump in the road. I only got rid of The Touareg because i needed to get a truck through my business, so i ended up buying the amarok due to liking the V6 tdi engine.
  3. I would keep it nice and simple with the 200tdi. my dad had nothing but agro with his td5 Disco.(leaky fuel cooler, split fuel chamber which is built into the head. oil getting in the loom etc etc. in my opinion the TD5 is a **** engine. my defender which had a 200tdi always fired first time and never let me down.
  4. I have a mountfield with the honda engine, still going strong 16 years in, i have serviced it once. the only thing thats starting to go is the deck. I will use it until it dies. and go buy another.
  5. I have the V6 Amarok. it works well for me, i have the truckman top and the dog loves her big bedroom.
  6. my money is with rob525 suggestion.

Im glad this has been posted. I also run a limited company, I have been on the Gov website and come out of it feeling even more confused. Fingers crossed for tomorrows announcement.
  8. Yes the Basc deal won hands down when i purchased the vitara. The discount isn't as much now, so not sure if it can be beaten by Carwow etc.
  9. I got my wifes Suzuki vitara through the basc scheme. at the time is was nearly 30% of the price. the dealer said they pretty much made nothing on the car. All i had to do was show my membership card and proof of ID and the dealer did the rest. I think you need to be a BASC member for at least 2 years before you are eligible.
  10. As said above, install a firestopper tank and you will be fine.
  11. No, different heat exchanger for the heating and hot water. the hot water uses a plate heat exchanger which can get scaled up or sludged up if the heating circuit wasnt flushed properly.
  12. The other test should be carried out as Schmitty said earlier, to check if the diverter valve is bypassing slightly. let the boiler cool, turn on the hot water and see if the heating flow and return pipes get hot if they are then the diverter valve needs cleaning/replacing
