richg
Shot "all round" comps many times when i was younger with some success. I do think the ABT should be single barrell like DTL ie. 100 TARGETS=100 SHOTS. also the whole competition should be shot with the same gun/choke combination, you make your choice at the beginning and thats it. And before anyone says it cannot be done, i always shot a Remi auto with 1/2 choke for everything and have shot many straights at all four disciplines. I once won the east midlands all round twice consecutively with a 97 and a
paulos
What would be the point of either? That may as well be brought in for sporting as well then?

richg
Over Kill says "Good Luck" shooting skeet with 3/4 and full. Shooting skeet well is not about luck its about accurate shooting and using tight chokes teaches you to concentrate on every shot. Skeet shooting is all about consistency and that means putting the target in the centre of your pattern every time, only tight chokes teach you this, with open chokes it is all to easy to edge a target and not realize it, this inevitable will lead to a missed target through lack of concentration. There is an often used quote "TIGHT CHOKES AND LEARN TO SHOOT" try it you might be surprised.
paulos
That's all well and good for practice, but not ideal for a registered shoot or championship where every clay counts.
