WinchesterDave
Browning say it's good; so good they give it a 100,000 shot guarante! But PW don't seem to be that impressed with them
Fib new
I have one. Nice gun for pigeon, wildfowling aso. Doesn't like light 24 gram loads.
RAMMER BURT
also does not like 65/67mm carts but nor does the maxus, looked at one saturday and its nice
Fib new
No doesn't like 65/67 mm cartridges... But that's not important for me since I never use 'm. Use mainly 32 gram and sometimes 28 gram 70mm or 36gram steel 76mm. Speedloading is Nice feature -but maxus has this as well. The ds choke system needs a bit getting used to... After patterning decided that full choke is a bit more like 3/4 choke. Light gun and handles well. I have the max4 camo which isn't that hardwearing as they make you believe though -but it's the same as the maxus again... All things considered.... I like it Esthetics? You either like it or not. What they say a bit of a marmite gun... I like marmite.

TbirdX
I have a maxus, wife has a maxus and in the group we shoot with there are two others with them. Not one has ever had a jam with anything 24g and above, all will cycle 24g/67mm case loads and 1 cycles 65mm and 21g loads. Know nothing about the A5, I'm sure it's a decent enough tool but it looks too old fashioned for my liking.
Fib new
Works in clays, but don't do a lot of clay shooting to be honest. When I shoot clays I use my b525 anyway... I know it looks a bit old, but that's the look I like. I never got used to the maxus' looks... But I still like to shoot with the maxus which is a very nice gun to. If you want an inertia driven gun and don't like the benelli's, this browning could be something you want -I never liked the benelli's handling. If you want a gas operated gun the maxus could be your gun. I'm not saying the new A5 is the best gun ever, but it certainly isn't as bad as a lot of people tell you -wonder how people can judge in a gun they never have seen or shot. It works as a tool and Gents the job done -and that's fine with me.
BrowningDJC
As with most autos the plain black synthetic seems to be bit better wearing than camo. Browning give them the 100,000 shot guarantee so they must be pretty confident in them, and at the end of the day browning have been making semi autos for well over a hundred years so they know what they are doing with them. Saw geoff garrod use one on one of the shooting channels for pigeons and he definately rated it. If its anything like the new maxus it will be very good. Ive used nearly all of the browning autos so im interested to see a new A5.
