markbivvy Posted December 4, 2006 Report Share Posted December 4, 2006 heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp took my pc in for repair friday as it would not boot up. they phoned today to say they cant find anything wrong with it, £45. brought it home, plugged all the bits in and NOTHING. turn the tower on,the windows splash comes up, then it just hangs, after about 20 mins it starts to load, but very slowly. its going back in the morning but any help from them that know would be a great help. please please please Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Mark I'm guessing you have broadband, and that when you got home you plugged everything in to go.... it could be your broadband modem is not handshaking with your isp connection quickly enough, and is causing the win.ini to hang the system pending a connection?
