The Wileman's
Hey there people, obviously we all now christmas is coming up to some peoples liking and disgust perhaps, but anyway. I REALLY REALLY need your help and your knowledge here. Im looking to get the old man a Jacket for christmas (for pigeon shooting) however it must be in advantage timber as he has some trousers already. But im looking to spend upto £200 max, i ve seen some jackets on websites but the vital thing what i am after is Something that is going to be extremley durable, not these thin materials which will just rip when you get in a blackthorn hedge. Water proof too. The jackets i have seen are: Musto stalkers jacket http://www.philipmorris.uk.com/prdf.php?pid=1607 Musto camo http://www.philipmorris.uk.com/prdf.php?pid=4708 Deerhunter montana http://www.country-outdoor-clothing.co.uk/...mo-jackets.html Deerhunter ram http://www.country-outdoor-clothing.co.uk/...mo-jackets.html Deerhunter huntsville i cant find the website where i saw it Please guys and ladies can you help me out here Thanks for your time Wileman
Dunkield
If it has to be Blackthorn proof, you are almost limiting yourself to waxed cotton, and I wouldn't wish that on anybody who actually moves about...
The Wileman's
Ahhhhh i see, i phrased that wrong sorry. When i mean by blackthorn i was just kind of making the point of something that is really durable! He actually got a blackthorn in his index finger ( there you go) the other week and it looks nasty as!! he's got a wax im just trying to get him the most durable jacket and in advantage timber too (listed below or any recommendations you guys and ladies have got) Thx stuart

Dunkield
OK. I am not if this will help but (I think they are probaly the most expensive on your list) but my mate just bought the Musto Stalking Jacket/Trousers and absolutely loves 'em, in fact he only takes the jacket off to go to bed They seem very well made. I have Deerhunter trousers and they are great but I have feeling the Musto's are more durable. You will need someone who has, or has had, both to confirm. luckytrigger
I bought a White Water Outdoors waterproof/breathable jacket and trousers in realtree a couple of years ago for around £200 and must admit they are excellent. The jacket has roomy pockets big enough to take the battery from my mini pro and or my rangefinder. There are also pit zips which are handy if your carrying a few rabbits back to the 4x4 and start to overheat a bit The material is also very quiet unlike some. My mate has Deben waterproofs and he commented on how much quieter mine were.. The chest pocket also comes in handy for spare mags..
Hairy Pat
I've got the Deerhunter Montana jacket and trousers in camo and the Ram jacket and trousers in green and can recommend both. Not cheap but good quality, warm, & quiet. Pat
decroyffe
Hiya Wileman, the ripstop jacket is your best option, and Mad Dog are a Quality Brand. Ripstop was designed for the milatery and trailed in N Irland. Too many Soliders were having there kit ripped off whislt crossing barbed wire fence's and having to patrol hours in shreds. It's designed to do what it says on the tin, stop rips. More often than not you'll be left with a small L shaped rip, easierly repared, and not half the jacket left hanging off the fence. As for Mad Dog there very good. Regards kieran
Marc M
The Shark jackets are fantastic too, well made and very durable, particularly the Nordstrom range, which is available in the camo you require. Shark Website They are around the £200 mark too. M
