Is there such a thing as an indicator phobia?

I find taxi drivers have also chosen to go for the option of leaving off indicators when they buy cars.

That's for one of two reasons,

1. They haven't earnt enough to afford indicators

2. Through their experiences on the road, they know that the average joe soap on the road will pull out on them at junctions, roundabouts etc etc regardless of their presence....indicators or not !!

A **** driver is a **** driver regardless of gender.

The ones who really get on my nerves are the people who drive at 40 no matter what the limit is on the road. See they almost everyday, 40 in a 60 zone then when it drop to 30 for a village they don't slow at all.

+1 We call them Fred 50s. 50 everywhere. Two roads near us are an example of lack of concentration, one is a derestricted ( white circle with black line) but with 2 lanes one way and 1 lane the other way. Lots of speed cameras and everyone brakes to 40 at every camera.

The other is a 40 limit clearly marked, again with cameras, many slow to 30 at every camera.

It shows a shocking lack of awareness and concentration.

Lack of indication is prevalent in all sexes and all vehicles including HGVs and white Vans.

Twice yesterday a car came across the chevrons at two separate motorway junctions, no indication at all, realised they had missed their turn. One male, one female.

I have also noticed that. 80k Range Rover yesterday and was holding a phone to their ear....

Phew! thank goodness somebody else has seen it out there.....was beginning to think I might be getting cynical with old age.

On the indicator front we actually make a very handy little gadget to fit to the vehicle to remind people to turn them back off. It is very popular with Morgan drivers as they don't have self cancelling indicators, we originally designed it for the motorcycle market.
