The big site near Newark was down Tolney Lane near castle gate train station. There are still quite a few of the travelling brotherhood down there but a lot of them got shifted on by some of the not so friendly locals.

The travelers that were in Gedling seem to have parked themselves on the playing field near Colwick industrial estate which is fantastic for me because that is right at the back of my house. I don't think they are there legally as they would have had a key for the gate instead of just smashing it out the ground.

The council should load up a convoy of 32t tippers with the tree cuttings and human excrement they left at the last site and empty it out onto the access road they are now camped on. Repeat the process each time they move, until eventually they stop bloody doing it!!!

They also had another 'remarkable' stroke of luck and found another site that had been broken into. Wasn't them of course.

How is it that if I park my car in the wrong place or for a couple of minutes too long (or indeed slightly over the line) I get a £60 fine-if I dispute the case I stand to have my fine and maybe points on my licence ,doubled. Yet these Rissoles park their vans and motors for weeks and get off scot free-why can the police not stick parking tickets on them and bloody well enforce the law.

Because you have something worth taking and are an easy target. You will pay the fine because if you don't they will send bailiffs etc, get yourself a CCJ or whatever. It would make life as you know it hell.

For them, they just pack up and move on. On paper they have nothing and when you go to visit them they have moved so the whole paperwork trail has to be started again. Personally I think that when they are caught they should be stripped on the spot of their assets to the value of the required fine, even if it means taking their bloody clothes off of them!

Yes that's a different law to the rest of us, but how's that different to the way things are now? It's about time this was turned to be in our favour.
