Parkinson1992
Hi guys, I'm new to the the forum. I have recently brought my self a 54 plate ford ranger XLT 2.5. I want to get some meaty mud terrains for it but can't seem to find anywhere that will give me a size on the biggest I can go. Some forums say about 2" lift kits as well, is this a road I want to be going down? I plan on keeping the truck for a long time so I'm not worried about investing money into it (with in reason) Has anyone got any advice on sizing and brands of tyres? I have looked into the BFG's and kumho k71s.
BrowningDJC
What are the standard tyre size? I think off hand its 265 70 15 but i could be wrong. If it is, 31 10 50 15's would be just a tad bigger and and theres plenty of choice in that size. If you especially want mud terrains, BFG have a good wear rate, the tri guard side wall but of course you pay for them. The kumhos are a good tyre too. For value i think the maxxis buckshot mudder takes some beating, especially at around 100 per tyre.
