Barls2-9-12
it's the essex coast I'm afraid! You'd end up with more carp on you after your 'douche' than before! It's all about the bog roll! Very true
TIGHTCHOKE
Could you elabourate on that particular item. Flares, attention for the getting of! Brings lifeboats and helicopters to rescue you when it all goes wrong!
Terry P
Flares are only any good at night, and for initial attraction, and will drift several 100 yards whilst in flight. If you then want to attract a lifeboat to you exact location better to have a orange smoke, let it off when you see the rescue services, they stand out like a sore thumb in daylight, for the dark a flashing torch is fantastic. I have red hand flares not parachute flares, which I wish I had one stormy night when it all went Pete tong hence me possessing them now... Terry P
Still only last for a very short period of time, never crack them off till you see the emergency services, a modern bright quick flashing torch is a far better thing to have, it really attracts attention and lasts for hours. I've got a 1000 lumen torch with SOS function which is a cracking bit of kit, yeah know what you mean about the flares, fail to prepare prepare to fail as they say... SuperGoose75
As Im mainly a Dawn and Dusk Flighter I dont need much gear. However two things i usually never forget is my Binoculars and a camera. I dont bother much with a gamebag these days either' much preferring a floating Duck strap.
