stalker58
Hi...I was wondering if anybody has reloading data for 70 and 76mm cartridges using power shot C&G, I have been using Lyalvale hevi-shot..The old stuff was hard you could not crush it with pliers, but the new shot in these cartridges just crumble to dust!...could anyone let me know if power shot is hard like the old Hevi-shot. Guest cookoff013
i think powershot is tungsten-iron sinterblend not an alloy like hevishot. 2 completely different things.

shakin stevens
Power shot is very hard stuff, you wont break it in pliers its like steel, you can get all the data off clay and game web site for a £1, Regards Rob.
stalker58
Hi Rob...hope you have had a good start to the season! why I was asking about hevi-shot was,I was going to buy some power shot off clay and game, and if thieir shot was like the old stuff (you cannot crush it) that would be fine. But the shot in Lyalvale Express hevi shot...Just crumbles in the pliers!....how's that 4 bore! have you been doing a bit of hill running before you take it out Regards Wayne
shakin stevens
Wayne Not been out yet on the shore, i have not found anybody this year yet to carry the 4 bore!!! power shot is very hard hitting stuff, don't buy the big stuff at 4.5 mm go for the stuff around 4 mm and load up around 1 oz 3/4 because its to expensive ! I usually use it back end of the season on the shore on holiday. Have you done much with that 8 bore yet? that looks a cracking gun. Regards Rob. stalker58
Rob I haven't been out with the 8 yet,I will wait until there are a few more geese about...let you know when I do. Regards Wayne
roughshooter
I have ITX number 2 this season to try out and have patterned it best with 42g on the 10 bore with Longshot, It is a buffered load and I think it is going to be as good as ITM with no choke restrictions. It is a bit cheaper than powershot but only time will tell if it is any good
stalker58
Rob..Graham,Do you have any loads for power shot!...was looking for 32 and 36 gram loads... Clay and Game data doesn't give you much info! there is only 2 loads for 12 gauge.nothing for 70mm carts...was thinking of buying the hevi-shot reloading manual...what do you think? Regards Wayne

If you want the hevi data then drop me your email address via pm and I will send it over to you Graham
