OvEr_KiLL
will its always funny reading your posts on here doesnt like to shoot trap but willing to spend 6 grand    out of those 3 i would deffinately go for the perazzi mx 2005, very very nice guns the one u linked is 31 1/2 barrels, monte carlo adjustable stock, adjustable rib and most likely multi choke, but doesnt matter if its fixed, absolutely perfect for you, i wouldnt go for a 29 1/2 barrels mate your choice but good luck with whatever you decide i know someone who has a 2005 same as that and i love it, very nice in real life and nice to shoot with but there again its set up for him! ps. see what bywell and chris potter have in stock mate as they specialise in perazzis Edited September 27, 2013 by OvEr_KiLL
HDAV
If you going for a griff stock it doesn't matter what the current wood is like. K80 and a new skeet vest........ Try muliners in Dorset they have a lot of kreighoff
Will Poon
Yes there are other trap guns on the market at a lesser price but the thing is I've too many guns in my cabinet that never get used in fact the only time they get taken out of the cabinet is to make sure it's still in there So I may use the gun/s I have to trade in for a nice trap gun
BlaserF3
If you really want a Trap gun buy what the top shots are shooting but what might be suitable for DTL might not be much good for ABT or Trench.

Try muliners in Dorset they have a lot of kreighoff If I were to buy one with an adjustable stock I wouldn't get a evo comp stock , that's why the original plan of the MX8 had a standard stock on it so I would change it for an evo one

Yes I see what you mean mike but as I shoot mostly at coniston or my other local club they only do DTL , skeet and sporting . OvEr_KiLL
dont get a kriegoff, one the most ugliest guns i have ever seen!! i have also heard you need to get them serviced every year to keep the warranty on them, get perazzi mate! mx2008 pro trap plus? theres another one for you
BlaserF3
If you are just going to shoot DTL, buy a K80. All K80's have a 10 year warranty, the must have annual service is a myth, believe me I've had two which have had warranty work done and neither had been for an annual service. fieldwanderer
In the end buy what you can break clays with. The name on the side is a feel good thing. Wise words indeed I've a mate who got wrapped up in buying bigger and better over and over again, he poured thousands into his obsession, lost his fiancee and child in the process and even bought guns back that he'd traded in beforehand, only to sell them on again - but guess what; it didn't make him shoot any better. Finally, he bought an old miroku from a farmer with the intention of using it for rough shooting with me, a bit of a post driver really. For the princely sum of "just" £400 he got the gun he'd been missing all along - the one he could really shoot with! That put him on the county team too iirc Ironically, he went on to buy a winchester trap gun that I now own as I can hit far more with it than any gun I've ever tried! It's no good for pigeons but I can and have beaten him at the clays with it (and I'm hopeless with a shotgun normally) - a fact I love to remind him about as often as possible

Will Poon
Visited malmo guns today to have look at some trap guns , I took three away with me to my club to try out. In the picture from the top is a Perazzi MX8 fixed choke , then the Perazzi MX20005 fixed choke and the Krieghoff K80 I'm being totally honest here now, but like I've said before I'm no trap shooter but I was breaking clays like no tomorrow , not just clipping them or splitting them I was absolutely vaporising the clays to dust with majority with first barrel . All 3 shot superb and I was amazed with the the Krieghoff it felt very comfortable and stable to shoot All 3 guns were set up by Bryan at malmos and I'm not touching the set up with the one I ended up with, which was the MX20005 , the reason I chose that one is because It felt very similar to my MX2000s , there's 2 or 3 tiny marks on the woodwork which I'm not too fussed about but more importantly to me is the metal work is in A1 mint condition As I've said before you can save yourself quite a few £££££ on buying a used one, I've looked on the web and I think I've seen them for sale at about £8500 so I've saved myself by buying one a few years old and saving about £2500
