Frank
Its amazing whats on your doorstep John when you look. Folks travel 100s miles sometimes, in seacrh of them tales of 1000s foxes in certain areas, if only they walked about locally, they would be amazed whats about. You have to put the effort in though, as yourself. I went out 1 night back in October, 10 mins from my door and bagged 8 :o If i go out tonight, would proobaly get near enough the same, but as yourself, im a lazy so & so :lol:too much xmas pud and ham :( Frank. Frank
Same here, even if i just get 1, im happy if its just a lessure lamping outing. But, if iv been asked to cull as many as possible, i try and get that many, but dont end up going potty if i dont, not the end of the world and its not my full time job ither, just part time so to speak. :o Amazing predator the fox, when you think about it. As for coyotes, do you think your new caller will bring them in from that far, on a calm night? :( Frank.

Dead-Eyed Duck
Looks in very good condition John. The last one I shot was full of mange - not too far from a housing estate, on the banks of the river Mersey. Don

ronan nee
hey john, I know what you mean about needing a second battery. came home last night and went down to feed the horses. when i was finished i grabbed the lamp to guide me to the hole to wash the ould wellies. had a shine around and what did i see, mr fox, walking up behind the stables. I legged it into the house grabbed the .223 put in the dogs and went down to find him. not a sign. looked high and low called out, no good. I walked down the land and in the end gave up. headed back to the house and when i got there, for the sake of it had another look around, low and behold mr fox. i said to myself i have you now you ********. I was drenched wet in the ******* rain with no jacket and in a t-shirt, what ever happened this fox was going down. I moved over to a rock beside me, rested the .223 on the bipod, went to shine the light on the fox, slipped on a ****'n stone which came back up to hit me on the shin. **** it where is that fox, there your are, got you now you ********............... jesus christ.......LAMP GOES DEAD. spent the night nursing my shin regards ronan by the way nice job. is the t3 workinging out alright

ronan nee
hey john have been trying out different types of ammo since i got the rem .223, so my grouping hasn't been great. have being using hornady 75gr, 50gr, rem umc 50gr and accutip 55gr. found the hornady 50gr to be working good but i need to spend a little more time with the rifle, cause i know a lot of it was down to me. hopeing to get out this sunday and sort out any problems with my method of shooting. dont know what the weather is going to be like but as long as its dry i dont care about the wind, there is plenty of shelter in the forestry. you might be around yourself, i'd like to see the t3. dont know about conor, i think he is going sniffing around oughterard on saturday night. he hasn't had much success lately funny he never mentioned anything about the sheep on the beach i think he has a thing for them :( regards ronan
