Haven't used this for a while and just getting it ready to do so. I've now noticed that if you fit either of the two filters - red or amber - and stare really hard at the lamp they slowly but surely fall off. Move the lamp about a bit and the process speeds up considerably. Has anyone else had this problem and come up with a cure which still permits the colours to be changed/removed?

I don't think I'm on my own here and should anyone else have the problem, I'll post the reply to the e-mail I've just sent to Deben - it may just be that there's been a design change since I bought mine.

Many thanks

Mine does flip down, but a careless sleeve soon pulls it off so i put a small tab of gaffer tape on it.

It may be because mine has had little use, perhaps, compared with yours, but the filter when fitted on mine requires a very firm pull to remove it (now that I have it correctly installed again!). Just to be sure, when you say that yours flips down, is that to utilise the filter or have the white light?

Safety in numbers eh?

Preferable to the only alternative - the blind leading............... :whistling::lol:

Its clipped on at the bottom so to use the white light you flip it down and up for red.

drilled two small holes through clip and housing and put a staple through them

never use white now anyway

Yep, that was my plan - until I discovered I was stupid!

Now that I'm installing the filter correctly at the bottom of the lens again it takes a really firm pull to detach it so all is well - well enough for me anyway.
