Exactly that Malc, watching Michael Mosely's Horizon program put me on to it, and then read his book.

It is really good on so many levels. The astonishing thing is the cell repair that is normally dormant when we eat like grazers.

Did the book add more knowledge to the program or just lighten your wallet?

If anyone is not familiar with it .... do yourself a favour and watch this .....http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01lxyzc

Not really, the book fleshed out a few details, but didn't really add any key info to the whole thing. It was the TV program that did it for me

Very good and thought provoking programme. I have been doing something similar since spring 2010.

When you think about it, it's probably very close to how our ancestors lived as I doubt they ate every day.

Swimming - and mix it up - do 1 length with exaggerated strokes and get a full stretch on (ooerr) and then blast the next one back.

I find all solo sport pretty boring, so I got some Sony underwater MP3 headphones off ebay for £30 and listen to hardcore dubstep and the odd audiobook. Indeed, audiobooks are great for the car (via the iphone) and are only a couple of quid a go.

It's all about making it enjoyable if not just less painful. I always treat myself to a decent cook up in the sauna afterwards - great for the skin and very relaxing.

You must have changed gyms, cos I'm there most days and you's a stranger :-p
