Penelope
You could use Eley bismuth @ c. £25 a box for 1 1/16oz 5 shot, which will be fine for a non steel proofed gun. Oh my, something I would love to get into one day, spent most of my life sailing and canoeing and love watching wildfowl, however don't have the gun for the job! My gun isn't proofed for steel Edited November 21, 2013 by Penelope

peeshooter
Well said i would iv had another outing on this marsh,This time and prob due to neg posting and slaggins off on hear say !!!. Dan said it as slow as he could and with pictures this time of what and what was not to be shot each gun was given his own hide apart from the son and dad team. We had bucket loads of widgeon and teal buzzing around the guns and doz's of the dreaded Brent . None of the Guns came out of there hide, no Brent or gulls shot at or guns raised to them. The best thing was a 12/13 year old lad he was the first to bring down a Widgeon on his first ever outing to the marsh as a Wildfowl'er both he and his dad were made up and as a dad my self It made my evening as without small boys or girls the sport will die some of the older chaps will understand pre basc . but wagbi i mean we will be the last to call ourselves old school fowler's if chaps a willing to rip into every one that makes a mistake .The antis just need to sit back as we us shooter n' stalkers fowlers just keep gobbing off at one and another **** happens is a learning curve deal with it .This is't a test run and we all are a long time dead . So when a feller is able to get folks on a marsh for very little we should applaud them and not try to dissuade others from trying the sport .As a Young lad in a wildfowl club we had to wait before someone could be bothered to take us newsboys on a marsh and waited a long time before pulling my fist duck down. So this trying it out before hand is a good thing some will just get the bug others will soon dislike the mud and cold . As a foot note i would add this .When Dan found this out about the lad he was given the flight for nowt top feller well done.
