Went out this afternoon shooting some crows ,after about an hour a sea gull flew past with a rook very close so took aim and dropped the rook ,to my surprise the gull came back and sat next to the rook I stood up and sent it on it's way, only for it to return diving down at the rook after about 5 mins it landed next to it again prodding it ,it looked as if it was trying to help it anyone else seen owt like this before

Never with a seagul on a rook but I have had seagulls dive bombing crows in larsens or multi catch cages, and often shooting a gull would draw others in who would mob the dead bird I often wondered if they were wondering why one of them was lying belly up or if they were eyeing up an easy meal

Gulls quite readily predate each other and other birds. Quite common for them to snatch each other's young and predate the sick one .

Reckon he must of been coming for a easy meal.
