Fancy Miroku

Lad at Rishton Shoot - today - had a very nice Miroku. The action was black, but with a decent amount of engraving. The engraving, including the shoulders of the action and top lever, had a gold inlay.

No letters in the serial number and he had no idea of the model. No letters - suggests pre 1969.

800 series?

Anyone got any ideas?

Some sort of Custom Shop model ? Over the years I`ve seen a few really nice Mirokus that I couldn`t put a number to,seems

as if they`ve always made special runs or something.

Perhaps most people would buy a Browning rather than pay for the Higher grade Mirokus,so they`re fairly scarce.
