one in the cold

hi all

had a long week this week had four trips out but no cigar seen a few but no shots fired..

Friday night was a cold one not as bad as Tuesday hitting -2 as i sat in one spot man that was chilly...we headed out for a few hours and lamped a cluster of fields from the car that we shoot over

we pulled into one field that i have lamped a 100 times but never seen a sausage but for a welcomed change i caught a quick glimpse of a eye i went back to the car got the rifle and got into position

i turned the lamp back on and it was still there but i could not ID it as it was in the crop .... i waited with the lamp on it and gave a few calls but nothing...

after 5 minuets the eyes stared to make there way out into the field at this point i could tell 100% it was a fox .

he seamed keen to move on in a hurry but took a fatal look back... it was a fair shot under the lamp and he was hit bang on a cracking big dog with a grate winter coat

thanks andy
