Dunkield
OK, quick sanity check. If someone is abroad with a UK mobile (they have roaming enabled) and I receive a text from them here it appears on my phone against their saved number i.e. 07nnnnnn For me to respond to that text, I don't need to do anything other than just that? by that I mean it doesn't need country code etc? Lord Geordie
Check your contract! It may cost you to.recieve as well.as send as they are abroad! I would advocate downloading something like Whatssap and use free wifi spots abroad to save money! Whatssap is free for the first 12 month then very cheap after that! About 80p iirc for a further 12 month. Any place like McDonalds or a bar offering WiFi is great as your messages are free! Also downloading a VOIP service on your mobile can.save a small fortune too! keg
If you are sending a text to someone abroad, as with calling them, you only pay for the uk portion of the text transmission or call.
