manual locking hubs

after reading a few posts on grand vitara 4wd systems not working as they should because of air leaks and the like,ive been reading with great interest the advantages of fitting manual locking hubs,does anyone have any experience of them,any pros and cons,after what ive read,there doesnt seem to be any cons..........DAZ

Yep, I had a Fourtrak until recently and the autohubs needed dismantling and lubricating every 12 months or they seized up and failed to engage so my 4x4 was a 2x4.

I scrapped it when the clutch went otherwise I would have forked out to change them.

Manual hubs all the way.
