was out last night on lookout for few foxes that weve bumped into lately on a farm ,on arrival picked up someone lamping on local golfcourse but on watching for bit with nv they crossed onto our land which i have sole permission on so knew straight away poachers they proceeded to lamp the dykes until there light hit me some 300 yards away and i lit them up like a christmas tree, but did they leg it no they continued to cast the light around before wanding back to were they had came from, weve had this more and more in last few weeks with people with dogs after deer ,anyway made my way to my highseat and set caller out after couple hours nothing and moon wasnt helping either ,decided to leave my trusty perch and wander off on foot took quick call from wifey then spotted couple rabbits out that we can never get onto as even nv spooks them now but with the wind in my favour and being 130 yards off got down on bipod and took the shot..one off my hitlist accounted for quick scan and two pair of eyes suspected was roe deer as one set higher than other so moved closer as was long way off but when i rescanned gone .so i set rifle up on bipod and switched on caller in my pocket tried partridge distress for 5 min but nothing showed so switcked to dog fox call two minutes later fox comes bursting into field .dropped onto rifle and picked him up trotting in.. quickly muted caller and he turned broadside and 40 grain bt took him off his feet .recovered him and tried another vixen call for 5 min but nothing showed heard vixen calling over woods but will have look sat for that one.went to pick rabbit up id shot and headshot had left body pretty unscathed .time to head home.

i use a foxpro scorpion caller fits in your pocket .. usually partridge distress ,and fox and vixen mate calls do the trick.i find the rabbit squeal scares more than it interests, its first thing most people try and think foxes round here no it means danger
