MrGray
Hi there, Has anyone had any experience with one of these Armscor muzzle loading revolvers? Like to know how they group etc I can not find much on the web regarding them. Thanks. http://westlakeengineering.com/15105.html
Jaymo
Alan is a very pleasant guy. Have been on the waiting lost for one for ages- last one he had didn't have the Match Barrel that I wished for so had to pass. But, to the original question- can't comment as would be buying blind too. Regarding grouping, I'm poor with a handgun so as long as it's somewhere on the white or black part I will be happy Jay
Imperfection
No idea with the Armscor, but Alan Westlakes conversion of the Ruger Old Army are absolute perfection so i can vouch for his quality and craftsmanship. A friend has one and its as near to a cartridge loaded revolver as you can get.
Underdog
I would love to hunt with one. Never gonna happen here though is it! U.
deershooter
I had a look at one of these Armscor revolvers last week in the flesh ,first impression is it looks like it's unfinished the plunger that should eject the spent shells if it was a cartridge firer is missing this leaves a cutout in the side of the barrel with nothing in it the cylinder seemed to move from side to side as it was not locked properly .The overall finish looked like a very bad parkerising which showed every sharp edge as a silver line the finish could even have come out of a spray can . I was really looking forward to handling one of these after doing so I was so disappointed it is never worth the £500 asking price .
