simon1979
Hi there I have a game bag which is ok with a few rabbits in, when I've got 6-7 its heavy and bulky, is there any thing better I could use, like a roe sack type ruck sack,. Ithe other problem either game bag is that it leaks to, and I've. Tried different make and they leak at the seams to, any ideals gladly welcome Atb Simon
kent
The mind boggles on the leak thing, what you doing hunting rabbits with a .308 . Roe sacks are just great for carrying a good few but can hold back your shooting some through balance and the placement of the strap. If I shoot a good number I tend to stash them in smaller batches to collect at the end hung in a hedge etc.
simon1979
Lol no .22lr but the blood runs out, and the seems tend to leak. I just woundering if a roe sack would be better or are there better game bags out there Atb Simon
stubby
I tend to hang them and collect at end of day/night, nothing worst than trying to move quietly whilst carry a heavy load
simon1979
Yeah I think hanging them might be the best way, it just I dont always walk back the same route, but carrying a bag full of rabbits can be heavy.

telf
i use a game carrier that i made after watching hunters vermin make one on you tube, modified using the dogs old lead so no stitching, easy to make and if you gut the bunnies as you go it makes them alot lighter Edited December 22, 2013 by telf

malkiserow
I use a pigeonwatch game bag. The other day I had 7 pheasants, a duck and a hare in it....... The fabric is water (read blood) proof but blood will still leak through the stitching so a bit of rag left in the bottom of the bag mops that up. Yes it was heavy at 39 lb so I carry some cord to hang some game in strategic places for collection later rather than carry all of them as I shoot them.
