Frank
Well, had a bad start when we arrived at our chosen spot, layed 8 nets in with the ferret and out pops bunny only to roll back out the purse net. Thank god the bad luck did not last long, as the wind picked up, but, thankfully the showers stayed away. I had doubts of the bunnys bolting with the wind, but i was pleasently surpirsed. Amazing how many will fit into a small bury, got 4 out of a 1 holer Had a lunch break in an old derilict house from the wind, wondering about the folks who use to occupie it, then back to work and ended the day with 16 nice plump bunnys . Wish all ferreting days were like this. As for all the young bunnys that have been poping up around the country ect, we came across none, not even a pregnant doe, but prehaps i spoke too soon. Might be a different story next time out. :yp: Pic below. Frank.

Holland&Holland
very respectable bag, well done. :yp: In the Netherlands we only have few rabbits left due to VHS and another viral disease. So pleasantly surprised to see a nice bag of rabbits. I think rabbit in the UK are (still) more common? no loss of VHS?
Frank
The rabbits seem not too bad over here in Ireland H & H. But what with mxymatosis and very bad weather this season, their not as plentifull as in previouse years. In the Uk, i have heard of large anounts of rabbits, but they seem to be lots of young ones about. :yp: Frank.

Frank
Great result Frank How many warrens did you net up & how many ferts were used? SS Thanks SS. We both split up, but were in the sam feild. My mate had his 2 albino jills and i had my polecat hop and jill, he got 6 and i got 10 , But, just the luck of the draw, all good craic. :yp: I did 7 burrys, with holes on avarege, the 8 mark and my mate did 6, loosing 2 and had 1 lie up. He does not have a locator and collar for his ferrets , as he believes the old way is best and so far, it seems to work, but he did had to wait for agaes on a couple and the jills killed, so he could not recover the bunnys, but, i just let him do his own thing and i had a locator and collars on my ferrets. I took it in turns in using my ferts threw out the day, as the warrens wernt really that deep, but their is some big ones their and i will be using the whole pack for these, as some of them jave 30 odd holes and are different levels, so will be using around 5 or more ferrets for these, otherwise, the bunnys just run rings around them. Also, i find the more ferrets you use on deep sets, the quicker they come out, everywhere the bunny looks, their is a ferret. Your doing great so far SS, keep it up. Frank.
