Ok so it looks like im getting a .30-06 for deer stalking, which will be keeping my 6.5x55 company. It will be mainly for Red deer work and will either be using a Barnes TTSX or a Sierra Gameking.

I think the rifle will be another Tikka T3 Lite Stainless Synthetic, I have already sourced a Schmit 8x56 scope but am unsure what Moderator is best.

I currently have a Wildcat P8 on the 6.5 which isnt a bad moderator and could get another or something else.

What is currently in flavour without breaking the bank?

You can get the internal part (not sure of the name just phone them) for the predator so that you only need one mod. I have the same mod and just have different internal part for the different calibres and a different bush as one rifle has a heavy barrel, they even bored it to the right size for me :)

ASE SL5

Well made and worked well on my .223 T3 Lite Stainless many years ago but it had to go as it really screwed up the balance!

I run the P8 COMPACT on all my centrefires now, up to and including my .308. They still do the job well as an overall package, in my opinion.

There are other mods that may be smaller, or lighter, or fractionally quieter, but none offer the versatility of the P8 for the money, and of course some are quite a lot more expensive!
