claycrasher
I've recently brought a Beretta 302 and am hopefully going to try it out this Sunday. What do you knowledgeable folk out there recommend I put through it, not so much make but length of cartridge ?
vmaxphil
start with 28g 70mm carts older 301-303 don't like light carts unless they have the ports modded I use 28g ealy first in my
rem708
I've had a 302 for years and provided you keep it clean it will eat virtually any cartridge but I've never tried much under 28g. I have no proof of this but I expect to have more problems now with fibre wads than plastic as there maybe a tenancy for more debris to block the gas mechanism. My club has just changed to fibre only and I've hardly shot the auto on these and only time will tell.
Dekers
start with 28g 70mm carts older 301-303 don't like light carts unless they have the ports modded I use 28g ealy first in my 303 Particularly light or low recoil carts are not great I suspect, but my 303 had no problem with carts shorter than 70mm, I understand the 301/302 was perhaps a little more fussy. Only put a few hundred fibre wad through it but no problems.
