Nmarsh12
Looking in to put in my ticket I've been shooting air rifles and shotgun for a while and come to round to a conclusion that i should put it in, so i was just wondering if i could have any advise no cheap side by sode or under and overs not to cheap that its going to fall apart looking between 200 to 300 cheers
carpentermark
If you haven't put in for sgc yet the you've probably got three months before you get it so my advice would be to keep saving and get a decent used gun by a decent maker i.e. beretta, browning, miroku, benelli etc.

Also although process times can vary, mine took 6 months to arrive. Plenty of time to save

HDAV
Look at guntrader, gunstar, gunwatch and see what's out there... £2/300 isn't a lot to be honest, fit is the key, as you have a wait ahead suggest you find a local clay ground and some lessons in, most will have a choice of guns to use and see what feels right and what you shoot well with. carpentermark
Just read your profile, says you're 17? Where you going to keep the gun? Dont forget a cabinet will cost you £100+.
Nmarsh12
Seen cabinets for 50 all over thats bot a problem looked all over on where to fit then ect ect and i got a couple of mates that are really big with there shooting and there helping me out a bit i just wanted sone different views on other guns and to see whats best because at end of day theres no point in spending 1000 on a gun thats looks amazing but something might happen to it when all I'm looking for is a reasonable prized work horse

Will Poon
If I'm not mistaken if your under 18 you can't buy a shotgun so I guess you've got a plan B

carpentermark
Dont forget that if you live with your parents you will need their permission first, also the police will take into consideration the criminal records and mental states of everyone in that house before granting you a SGC. I know because a friend of mine can't have one because his brother has a conviction for ABH. worth bearing in mind before you apply and asking the question, after all parents don't always tell their kids everything! Livefast123
You'll get a nice Lanber for around 300 - 400. Paid 140 for my first Lanber, it's from the same year I was born but keeps breaking clays etc so I can't part with it. When 18 try wabbitbosher, flazz, eddoakley etc on here. Will Poon
Fair enough pal, for a few hundred pounds Lanber pops in my mind as a good starter gun for the money
welshwarrior
Lanber Lincoln FIAS larona even E Rizzini all will go bang most won't give you many issues, buy on fit and condition not name, shop around shoot as many as to can. You've not said what you intend to shoot at.

bostonmick
Get your application in and look forward to taking part in what I believe to be the best sport/pastime there is.gunfit is paramount and hopefully you will find something that fits you and your budget.one other thing you may wish to consider is joining one of the organizations.basc/cpsa.these will give you the all important insurance.also a wealth of advice for free and if you ever need help with any license issues which hopefully you will never come across.and of course you get a nice sticker for the car.good luck for the future.
