I have taken my Ultra XS in to be shortened after struggling with it all season, it is having 1/2" off and a kickeze pad fitted but now I am panicking that it will still not fit and I will not be able to sell it after having it shortened. I rang the Gun shop up today to ask if they have started it and they have so its to late to back out, can anyone reassure me that I have done the right thing?

I will ask for it and am sure all will be ok as it is being done by a gun smith with a very good reputation, it is the gun shop I bought it from. I am just panicking a bit in case it still doesn't fit and the stock shortening affects the balance etc

WHO decided that it required shortening in the first place ? If you are of average build, there is a good chance that it did require a 'bit' off as they come out with a stock of almost 15". Unless you are seriously shortening the stock, you will not devalue it, just be prepared to leave the Kick-Eeze on, if you get rid.

I have been clumsy mounting it all season and a mate of mine with long arms said 'you would struggle with mine then' we compered the two and mine was longer (gun stock that is ya pervs) so I went back to the shop that I bought it from and they agreed it needed 1/2" taking off.

Jeez that sounds like a script from a porn movie

dont welcome me I've been here 41 yrs. :). :). :)

Pah, 47 here :friends:

I'd go isis rather than kickeez personally, are they cutting it straight or under cutting it?

Straight I think.

I know Derek and his staff very well you will get a first rate job done from him.

I do not know them personally but have bought a few guns from them and ammo etc, have always been very happy with the service, they even went out of there way to get a new magazine foc for my .223 Steyer Prohunter :good: They are the only gun shop I use even though they are not the closest.
