I looked at both my bikes in the garage yesterday and went indoors and booked Oulton Park for next Wednesday. I have a '09 R1 road bike that I bought new and haven't used it for two years, haven't even taken it for it's first MOT. I lost all interest in road riding for some reason. I have a rr6 blade race bike that I use for track riding and after 20+ days last year it looks like that does more millage than the R1! I might actually get the R1 back on the road this year if we have any decent weather. I dont mind track riding in the wet as you have tyres for that purpose and no muck on track but on the roads I'm not into riding in the rain.

Don't have a bike anymore but did get out in my 4-wheel toy today.. Finished building it in Sept. so was good to get some time to put some miles on it!

Interesting! Toniq I'm guessing?

Been thinking of something like this for a bit of blatting about in the summer, what have you got under the bonnet? i quite fancy something bike engined.

Hi mate. Yep a Toniq CB. It's got a Duratec built by OMEX under the bonnet with just over 200bhp at the flywheel. I notice you're not too far from me (I'm in Newport Pagnell) so if you wanted to try it out would be happy to set something up... Any excuse for a blat!

BTW Toniq do offer a Bike Engine option based on the ZZR1400 engine.

I rode my hornet all winter but put horrible tyres on it and wintered it as best as possible with heated grips, larger screen all that. I'm now in the process of taking all the 'orrible' stuff off and making it look pretty again.

(And de-rusting it!).

Definitely don't keep bike turned on whilst lubing chain or cleaning chain - seen lots of pics of finger damage from that.
