mmm, is it all worth it?

Never had much luck with any 4x4 i've owned. got a 94 fourtrak at the minute and thought my luck had changed until new years day.

thought the head gasket had gone so replaced it, no joy. the head had crack and to make it worse it was beond repare. it was cheaper to buy another fourtrak than a head so i did, and use it has spares. £350 later it's back on the road for a day then the radiator goes. ???

During all this i hired a 06 corsa which was fantastic to drive. now i've bought a 56 5 door polo auto which is just as good as the corsa. i'm now using the car for work and the fourtrak for off roading and getting from A to B whilst shooting, and out with the dogs.

I'm thinking off getting shut of both and buying a new estate which would mean scrapping the off roading, what do you think?

regards

My Wife has the late model estate car and I have my Toyota Surf Shooting/Fishing machine.

I have had decent estates, including a Subaru Legacy and it broke my heart every time I went fishing or shooting off road and there was another dent, or deep scratch.

Our present situation is the healthy compromise.

When the Toyota starts to cost me money, I will scrap it and buy another one. ???

Hiya Mark, Thanks for the offer it's very good of you. i still have the other fourtrak i bought to take the head off with a radiator on so i dont need one. all the same thats a fantastic offer, £160 plus vat is what they cost new. i'm guessing you have a fourtrak. what do you think?

Thanks again Mark, regards

bang on there, has good has owt with the right tyre. i opted for a budget mud tyre. Green way Macho's, 31x10.50x15r's from sowden tyres. £51 per tyre. Had to cut a couple of inch off the front bumper corner section to make them fit.

it's just the overall expence of running one day to day. i might stick with the small car and the fourtrak?
