Joshcup11
Well i think i have my mind made up. I would like a Nikko stirling IR nighteater on my at44-10. Please dont tell me how its overkill for an airgun on the magnification side im more focused on the quality of the glass? or would a hawke airmax side focus be better? Bare in mind i need to raise seperate funds for the scope as im currentley saving up for a car and insurance! Any first hand experiences would be amazing! Thanks in advance! bullet boy
The Nighteater is a nice scope. I had a 6-24x56 and it was on my .17 Rimfire rifle. It was a good scope but did sell it cos I preferred my S&B 8x56 scope. ATB.
Joshcup11
So would you say it is more than enough quality of glass for an air rifle with shooting will be limited to 35 yards?

It'll be fine bud. It's nice glass for the money IMO.
chrisjpainter
Yup. ideal partnership i'd say. I would make sure you have a low magnification option though (preferably 3x, but 4x's okay) At close range, you have a very narrow field of view if your magnification is too big. 3-9, 3-12, 4-16 or something like that Edited February 24, 2014 by chrisjpainter
Joshcup11
Thanks guys! Going to say i wouldnt want something as big as an 2.5x12x56 if im only shooting to 30 yards.
Dekers
How about this, NS Platinum wide angle 4-12x50, excellent scope and crisp and clear edge to edge, even on Maximum mag! Currently surplus to requirements, PM if interested! Cheers
